In November, the Iranians came first with 1,406 housing units, followed by the Iraqis with 1,075, and then the Russians with 836.
Last month, the General Directorate of Land Registry and Real Estate Survey of the Turkish Ministry of Environment and Urban Development revealed the value of real estate sales in the country during the previous ten months.
The directorate said that during the first ten months of this year, the number of real estate sales reached 2,410,816 properties.
The directorate's data indicated that during the month of September, the number of properties sold amounted to 316,628 properties, while it decreased by 7.8 percent in October to 291,853.
It revealed that Istanbul ranked first in sales with 306,582 properties during the first months of 2021, followed by the capital, Ankara, with 166,392 properties, then Izmir (west) with 115,689 properties, then Antalya (southwest) with 89,605 properties. And Konya (centre) with 85 thousand and 854.
Recently, Turkish media circulated reports that real estate prices in Turkey will gradually rise to more than 50%, although prices have witnessed a period of stability since 2018 in light of rising costs.
Reports stated that the real estate market in Turkey witnessed a turnout from those wishing to invest in real estate or foreigners who want to own a property to obtain Turkish citizenship.
In turn, representatives of the real estate sector said that housing prices will rise during the coming period due to rising costs, noting that new price lists will appear in upcoming projects, noting that prices will gradually rise by up to 50 percent.
They explained that despite the negative impact of the Corona epidemic, 1,499,316 homes were sold across the country last year, setting a historical record.
They pointed out that the gradual cost increase is due to the projects that will be established next year, noting that the project-based companies will determine the prices according to the cost.
They saw that the boom in the Turkish real estate market was reflected in prices, pointing out that the high prices made investors turn to this profitable market, and thus the proportion of investment requests increased, especially in the northwestern states of Turkey such as Istanbul and Yalova Bursa.
Last year, prices rose 8.23% in October, 8.03% in November and 7.72% in December compared to the same period a year earlier.
He pointed out that the price of a ton of iron reached 3,350 pounds in June of last year, and exceeded 5 thousand pounds in December, while it rose to 5,730 pounds in the first days of January, and the price per cubic meter of concrete C35 increased from 195 pounds in June last year to 255 liras today, as a bag of cement was purchased for 17 liras in June and 22 liras in January.
