Real estate sales across Turkey increased by 25.1% in January compared to the same month from.

Property sales across Turkey increased by 25.1% in January compared to the same month in the previous year and became 88,306 apartments.
Istanbul had the highest share of home sales with 15,110 home sales with 17.1%. According to the number of sales, Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 8 thousand 255 sales and a share of 9.3%, and Izmir with 5 thousand 486 sales and a share of 6.2%. The provinces that recorded the lowest number of home sales were Ardahan with 18 houses, Hekari with 31 houses, and Bayburt with 44 houses, respectively.

Sales of mortgaged housing amounted to 18,183 apartments

Sales of foreclosed homes across Turkey increased by 69.4% in January compared to the same month in the previous year and became 18,183. The share of foreclosed sales of total home sales was 20.6%.

70,123 homes were sold as a result of other types of sales

Other home sales across Turkey increased by 17.2% in January compared to the same month of the previous year and became 70,123. The share of other sales of the total home sales was 79.4%.

The number of direct home sales reached 27,203

The number of direct home sales in Turkey increased by 22.2% in January compared to the same month of the previous year, and became 27 thousand 203. The share of first home sales of total home sales was 30.8%.

61,103 homes were exchanged in used home sales

Sales of used homes across Turkey increased by 26.5% in January compared to the same month of the previous year, and became 61 thousand 103. The share of used home sales of total home sales was 69.2%.

Home sales to foreigners rise 56.5 percent in January

Home sales to foreigners in Turkey increased by 56.5 percent in January compared to the same period the previous year.

The Turkish Statistical Authority said in a statement that home sales to foreigners recorded 4,186 properties last January.

It explained that Iranian citizens ranked first in terms of buying homes in Turkey during this period, with 761 homes.

It added that the largest number of sales was recorded in Istanbul, with 1,771 homes, then Antalya with 914, and Ankara with 269.
