It also includes a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fields of land and sea transport, and a joint statement on the start of negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will start an official visit to the UAE on February 14 and 15, following the visit of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed to Turkey on November 24, 2021.
The Emirates News Agency, WAM, described the upcoming visit of the Turkish president as an "important step on the road to strengthening the growing strategic relations" between the two countries and moving them to a "more advanced" level.

Turkey ranks 11th among the largest trading partners of the UAE, while the UAE represents Turkey's 12th trading partner globally and the largest trading partner in the Arab Gulf region, according to WAM.
