In this context, the number of foreign tourists who preferred Turkey to spend their vacations last January exceeded one million tourists.
According to data published by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of foreign tourists who visited Turkey during the past month reached 1,281,666.
The total number of arrivals to Turkey from European countries and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development reached 314,801 visitors.
Germans topped the list of European tourists coming to Turkey during the month of January, with 102,572 visitors, while the number of visitors from England reached 34,952 visitors.
The number of visitors from the Netherlands to Turkey during the same period reached 34,605, and from France, 29,664.
The number of visitors from Belgium reached 16,266, Austria 12,890, and 10,313 came from Poland.
Thus, Turkey continues its leadership among the most important tourist destinations in the world, so that "Turkey is God's paradise on earth."
