With life gradually beginning to return to normal in Turkey after an interruption due to the Corona pandemic, the Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, "Adel Kara Ismailoglu", announced the resumption of the "Tourist Orient Train" flights again, starting from next December 15.
He also explained that 37,000 passengers have traveled on the Eastern Express since its first trip, noting that the Ankara-Kars route was chosen as one of the 4 best train routes in the world by travel writers.

He pointed out that the 1,300-kilometer Ankara-Kars route was completed in 31 hours and 40 minutes, and the Kars-Ankara route was completed in 32 hours and 37 minutes, and passengers had the opportunity to see historical and cultural values ​​while tasting different flavors.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Transport confirmed that the Eastern Express tourist train provides opportunities to explore not only Kars, but also Sivas, Erzurum and Erzincan on its route:

He pointed out that "the Eastern Express tourist train stopped on the Ankara-Kars line, in Ilic and Erzurum, as well as in Erzincan, Divrigi, and Sivas for 3 hours, which gives the opportunity for group and individual travelers to visit the tourist places."

And as the identifier for the train that stops at these stations, it takes its passengers to Dark Canyon. It explores the natural and cultural heritage, including the Üç Kümbetler, the Çifte Minareli Madrasah, the archaeological site of Ani, and the Divriği Grand Mosque, the Gök Madrasa. Travel enthusiasts have the opportunity to witness the richness of the gastronomic as well as the richness of the history.”
