Schools in Turkey begin to reopen their doors0
Turkish Education Minister Ziya Selçuk said that schools in Turkey will begin to reopen on September 21 in a gradual return to classroom education.
The Turkish Ministry of Education also made it clear that the first three weeks of the academic year will include an extensive overhaul of lessons that remained incomplete from the previous year, while supportive training courses for students will continue throughout the academic year.
On the 29th of last June, the Ministry had started a summer distance education program supporting students of the three stages, elementary, middle and high school, and it lasted for nine weeks, until August 28th.
And the Turkish Minister of Education also announced that education will start in Turkish schools for specific classes, gradually and lightly, as of September 21.
He also pointed out that parents were given the opportunity to visit their children's schools , according to a prior appointment.
Seljuk confirmed the readiness of the integration system between the Ministries of Health and Education, and the warning mechanism used to combat Corona.
As for school attendance in Turkey , it is limited this year to students in the preparatory stage (nursery) and the first grade of primary school, provided that the Ministry of Education holds a meeting within 3 weeks to decide on the rest of the classes according to the course of the Corona pandemic.
